Wow, it’s been awhile.  I keep forgetting I have this blog, so I updated the theme!  Cute, isn’t it?  I love colorful WP themes.

Package Received

So that thing that was supposed to come, came.  And I don’t really like it :/  It’s a dating service, and I just met the lousiest dates.  You know, the typical, “desperate/ugly/older man”?  Yeah.  Alas, it was bought from my parents so I’ll keep trying.  I’m not really trying to find a boyfriend, just someone to hang out with, see a movie with.  Maybe it’ll become more, maybe it won’t.

Something Better

The best thing that came, though, is I am officially full time with Jason!  It became official April 1, 2010 So he’s my first full time job, and it’s going not too bad.  At first, I was messing up a lot because I wouldn’t get up at 9, I would get up either a half hour later or an hour, but now I’m getting up at 8:30am pretty much everyday.  People who know for me for awhile would know that is SO not me!  I like it, I feel happier and more energized getting up at normal hours.

My starting salary is 37k, although Jason assures me that I’ll get 42k by the end of the year if all goes well.  42k was my asking price.  It includes annual bonuses, 20 days vacation, 10% of the money if I refer a client to him, and some other things I can’t remember.  The cool thing is the title: Lead Creative/Art Director.  The bad thing is: I’m the only designer other than Jason in there LOL.  So it doesn’t mean *that much*, it’s just a fun title to throw around

Drupal

Back in December of 2009, me and Mr. Douche learned the basics of Drupal.  Last month, it was put to the test and I created my first Drupal site for a cooking show event.  It’s a pretty freakin’ awesome site and was really super tough, cause I had to install Drupal, code it, import it into the themes, get a drop down menu in there (which took forever), and a whole bunch of 0ther things.  I needed a lot of help with it, so Tom was there to take the heavy duty parts away!  It was still really tough and scary for me.

Drupal is… a really hardcore CMS.  It’s mainly for developers, so if you’re a designer — shy away from it and pick something more user friendly like WordPress or CushyCMS or whatever.  Learning it is a lot, there’s the theming, the modules (add-ons/plugins), CRON, CCK, Content Types, so many different terms to learn.  It’s a beast.

Getting Over Him

Speaking of Mr. Douche (his new nickname) aka as my best ex, Craig, well I’m really starting to get over him.  I’d keep saying “Oh I’m over him”, but here’s the thing: I would continually check out his Facebook, or his status on AIM.  He hid his Facebook (thank God) and I deleted him on AIM, which feels rather liberating!  I feel free now!  But that’s the way I normally am when I get over guys.  I first never talk to them, but I wonder about them and check up on them to see what they’re up to, then I slowly remove things from them, like their AIM or pictures of them and then I’m eventually rid of them.  I also deleted his domain name stuff.  I have yet to throw away his poem… soon I’ll be all rid of everything.

I still think about him sparingly.  Still a little angry.  But one day at a time, right?

iPhone

Did I tell you I got an iPhone?  It’s pretty cool!  It gives me confusion every now and then, cause I think my sound is on, but it’s really not.  I like that it checks ALL my emails at once!  And it’s soooo easy to text now.  I have unlimited everything so I don’t have to worry

Boys, boys, boys!

Yeah, so I kinda like some people… taking some time.  I mean I don’t really like anyone 100%, but there are guys I find attractive or interesting.  I talk to a few of them on occasion, just to keep myself feeling beautiful   Can’t say anything will happen, but it’s just fun right now.

• My best friend, Sarah, is feeling better about herself.  I’m so happy to hear that and I hope all stays well!
• My high school best friend, Afhton, has 1 child and is pregnant with her second!  Yikes!
• I really like the show, The L Word, and have an uber crush on Shane.  Yeah, a crush on a GIRL, but Shane doesn’t look like a girl, so…
• Dora is still the awesome-est person ever. So thankful I have her in my life
• I saw “Avatar” the other day and think it’s one of the best movies ever made.
• I’m super addicted to Grand Theft Auto’s online Team Deathmatch.  Such a dork
